Culture as a Choice: Determining the “Right” Place to Work Part 2: Opportunities Abound

Great corporate culture can mean different things to different people and choosing the right  place to work is no easy feat. Candidates must evaluate everything from salary and benefits, assess the company culture and potential for growth, consider work-life balance, and understand overall career goals. Brindley Engineering has been on a hiring spree, and we wanted to take a minute to ask our newest BE teammates why they chose Brindley Engineering as their workplace of choice. In Part 1 of this series you heard from Katy Summers, a Project Controls Specialist from our Lisle, IL office. In Part 2 you will hear from Andrezza Henke Passarelli, a Structural Designer from our Houston, TX office.

Welcome to Part 2: Opportunity Abounds with Andrezza Henke Passarelli, a Structural Designer from our Houston Office. Houston is a great place to be. In 2024, Brindley Engineering expanded its operations to Houston, TX to gain scale and execute larger, complex projects and programs in the Gulf Coast and beyond. But at Brindley Engineering it’s about more than location – it’s about camaraderie, experience and collaborating with the best of the best.

“BE is a company that is clearly expanding and offers opportunities for the ones who are ready for it.”

With strong guidance and leadership in the Houston office, Andrezza was excited to join a company place where employees can share experiences, and the company takes action to get better through teamwork and strong collaboration. What stuck out to her most when interviewing at Brindley Engineering was the opportunity for growth as the new office in the Houston area would bring opportunities for people joining the company in the early stages.

What made it easy for her to join the BE team was when she realized that BE is a company that is clearly expanding and offers opportunities for the ones who are ready for it. She’s excited to be in on the ground level at a company who is rapidly expanding and feels like she has a great advantage for growth by getting in early and being one of the first hires in the Houston, TX office.

She was expecting fast paced projects which the company has lived up to! Projects are field focused for all levels, and she loves that Brindley Engineering has feedback and improvement

processes in place for both employees and for clients as well. She’s looking forward to diving deeper into the work and learning and growing with like-minded colleagues.

Tune in for Part 3: Starting Fresh with Structural Designer, Phuong (Eva) Nguyen from our Lisle, IL office.
